Was gifted this swaddle by family for our newborn and baby immediately broke out of it… never kept his hands in tight… was super weak compared to my babies ability to hulk out of it. Was able to break out of it no matter how we positioned the wings. Had to buy a Velcro one on Amazon in the same shape and that worked well. If you have a strong baby, this swaddle isn’t for you.

When a baby is able to break out repeatedly, it can sometimes mean the chest hug needs to be adjusted more snugly, or that a different arm position may work better for that baby’s stage and strength. Swado is designed to be adjustable, but fit can vary by baby, especially for strong or very active little ones.

Sometimes lint or laundry residue can also affect the GoodCatch fastener’s hold. Washing the swaddle with the wings closed in a mesh laundry bag, then gently removing lint from the GoodCatch area with a lint roller or tape, may help.

So good for super hot summer nights

We received a Swado for our new baby second hand and loved the soft “Velcro” so much we decided to order two more. Then it got super hot in the American Southwest, and we opted for the muslin-type material in addition to the regular cotton to keep the baby cool at night. It’s pretty much the only thing she’s been wearing for two weeks. We love it so much we bought one as a gift for friends.

I own and agency that works one-on-one in homes with new parents helping then in the fourth trimester. I get to try out all kinds of cool products. I've been using the Swado Swaddle for some time now and I absolutely love it for changing diapers without startling or even waking babies. It's soft velcro is sturdy and secure, but quiet enough to change diapers like a ninja! Finally a swaddle made for diaper changes!! Great product. Now I'm justing waiting for the jersey knit material swaddle to be back in stock!

Disappointed

After reading the reviews, I wasn’t thrilled with the product. My daughter is 3 months and kept making her way out of the swaddle. I wouldn’t recommend this swaddle if your child is a kicker and uses her arms to break out of a swaddle. My daughter is also long (tall) so I wouldn’t be able to make use of this product next month as I found the medium short/limited room for a child to grow in. It took a while to get to me and I wasn’t impressed that I had to pay again for the parcel to be delivered to me so overall, it’s not worth the $100 + I spent on it. Ended up purchasing another swaddle so it was a complete waste of my time and anticipation.

We have tried literally 20 different swaddles between our two daughters. Our second baby was born at 34 weeks and was in the nicu for 20 days. They encouraged us to swaddle her with arms at midline (instead of down) to encourage development and it was impossible to find a swaddle that worked for this until Swado! We LOVE it and so does our little babe! The silent Velcro is unlike anything we have used and it is brilliant! I wish we knew about this with our first daughter! We are sold!

Amazing Swaddle - so easy to use!
We received this swaddle as a gift and WOW. This will be on my list for every mom! The material is so soft and easy to maintain. We had been using swaddle sacks that had Velcro but it was scratchy and noisy if we had to reswaddle at any point. This swaddle was a game changer! Our little guy is quite wiggly and this tucks him in nicely and keeps him there. With the material being so soft and quiet it makes any nighttime adjustments, if needed, so easy. Absolutely love this swaddle and so does our little guy!
